DR. JOHN MARANGOS

John Marangos is a Professor of Economics and Dissertation Chair at the University of Macedonia in Greece. Director, African Political Economy Lab, The Africa Center for Strategic Progress. Associate Editor, International Journal of Social Economics. Affiliated with the Hellenic Open University, Grand Canyon University in the USA, Transcontinental University in the USA. Focal points of John’s research includes international development, and innovative methodologies for teaching economics.

Awarded the 2018 Clarence E. Ayres Scholar Award for the exceptional research within the area of institutional economics in an international setting by the AFEE.

In addition, he researches and publishes into teaching issues and has published and gained research grants in this field.
